  • On the verge of leaving the party…

Simply put: $700 billion for paper-money profiteers and not a dime for people who actually build things?

If the auto bailout does not pass, I’m denouncing the Republican party. If you really believed in letting poorly run business fail, then all those banks and stuff? Should be dead. Dead as a doornail. Detroit’s come a long way since ’85, and while I agree they’ll need some oversight with our money at least what they make has actual, physical, tangible value. Paper profits and pushing papers will not cause the kind of catastrophe that the complete collapse of what little is left of America’s heavy industry will cause. There are many to blame, CEOs, politicians, those wanks at Consumer Reports…

If there is no bailout, I want a recall of all $700billion of my tax dollars from companies I don’t give a flying fuck about. This country, without industry, will be owned… and 0wnd by Europe and Asia anyway and we’ll need that cash to cushion that blow. Besides, what’s so bad about Citi going under? 15,000 people are laid off, but millions don’t have to pay back those oft-times poorly issued credit cards. GM goes under they’re predicting as many as 2.5 million jobs will be lost, 10% national unemployment, and I’ll be relegated to public transport.

    Not a hard choice.

To all Republican office holders: Pass this. Or else.

I have seven done, and this is a lot easier to do that Red Array. I’m not giving up on RA, but this will allow me to have some content to put up every week. Titles will probably follow a musical theme.

  • OMG-1ICAM Mk.2

You want to know why Miniature Rules gets delayed…

    ==================================

    TAG: Hi! I’m a TAG!

    C3: And I’m a C3!

TAG: Well, Mr. C3, still having difficulty getting out of the Draconis Combine?

C3: It’s worse, those Blakists are sulling my good name! How did you get away from it?

TAG: Well, I not only guide FWL Semi-Guided LRMS, but also spot for Arrow IV.

C3: Oh really, my master can do that!

    (off screen) MASTER? BLAKIST PLANT!

    C3: Gotta run!

  • Miniature Rules

    Tuesday! Tuesday! Tuesday!

I just got out of my ’83 Delorean and have come to tell you that 3078 looks a lot like 2008… at least on the entertainment front. Who knew the Barenaked Ladies were right, it’s all been done before? Find out why TVTropes.org becomes a full time HPG-transmission in Miniature Rules!

  • I have too many stories to tell, but frankly while I can plot a great piece of fiction, I’m not that adept at writing it. I think that’s why I like the photocomics I’m doing. I can’t really *describe* some of this stuff without falling into bad ballet metaphors and overused pieces of stock footage. My dialog tends to devolve into pages of “he said. he said. he said.”.

Miniature Rules is fun, it gets laughs and what not, but I think the future is in more serious work. Red Array might have been an over reach from day one, but I’m back and plugging away at it. Suprisingly Scene 5 – “Long (Range) Division” is done, and probably will be released sometime this week. If MiniRules isn’t done today, I’ll post RA. If MR gets done, RA will go Thursday.  I’m also working on another project, a more of a short form-arc line, a happy medium between Red Array and Miniature Rules that I can keep up for a lot longer than either one of them.

I also would *love* to adapt Gio’s stories, but he’s kinda holding back. Let go, Gio…

    (I’m buying a Congress tomorrow, anyway. :P )

  • VICTORY!

My five year long fight with The Bakersfield Californian has emerged in a total and one-sided victory for me. Bowing to OVERWHELMING support from the community, they have to retract their greatest insult.

Classic Peanuts returns to their comics pages.

Having a couple of their represenatives brush me off when I asked why they would not run the reruns, and having one bluntly and rudely say: “Schulz is dead, get over it.” and still expect me to get a subscription I feel that this is a victory for anyone who followed the beloved characters.

It would have been ok if they had bowed out gracefully, a tribute, but coming on the heels of their deletion of Trudeau’s Doonesbury for it’s anti-war stance, they made little bones it was about money… even though I apparently wasn’t the only one reading the paper for Snoopy and gang.

To that representative who said that Schulz was dead, bullshit. He’s still alive. The proof will be in the damned paper you used to work, 1 December.

    VICTORY!

  • Dear PETA:

Your reticence in denouncing the attack on Lindsey Lohan speaks volumes on your organization. Lohan is far from being the most intelligent or important person on the planet, yet still she has the right not to be assaulted. Since no word is coming from your organization condemning the attack, I can only assume one thing:

    You are a terrorist organization.

    On another note:

I’m struggling with my oldest friend. He’s going through a rough time and I can understand that, but he’s taken solace in religion. That would be fine, but his denomination is one of these crazy rapture groups. I do not understand why people feel the need to believe that the world is always fifty minutes away from the end. He’s got support, it’s not like he’ll have to wander the Streets of Bakersfield homeless, but he might have to do without the level of material comfort he’s used to, but never had to earn for himself. He wants to be a teacher, but does not invest in the education or simple information he needs to continue on this path.

I fear that in a short time, the chasm will be too far.

    —————————–

    TV is gone.

I have only my comic creation to entertain me. I also will be uninstalling all my games and packing them up, with few exceptions, mostly with the name “Sid Meier” on them.
